Built for What's Happening Right Now

We're the technology firm that was built for this moment. Not one trying to catch up to it.

Why We Started

Scottship Solutions started with a pattern we kept seeing.

Break-fix IT providers charging clients for problems they caused. Software companies pitching expensive tools to nonprofit leaders who couldn’t get basic questions answered. IT vendors hiding behind contracts designed to protect themselves, not their clients.

We watched good organizations make bad technology decisions because they didn’t have anyone in their corner. Not because they were unsophisticated. Because an entire industry had no incentive to serve them well.

That needed to change.

We started as a strategy and consulting firm focused on helping nonprofits make smarter technology decisions. Then the pandemic changed everything. Overnight, every organization moved to the cloud. But the IT providers nonprofits relied on didn’t follow. They were still built for on-premise servers and break-fix tickets. Suddenly, nonprofits managing children’s health records, donor databases, and program data had no one keeping their cloud infrastructure secure or compliant. We found organizations out of HIPAA compliance with their IT provider nowhere to be found. That was the moment we expanded from consulting into full managed IT support. Not because it was a business opportunity. Because someone had to.

The Gap We Fill

Mission-driven organizations were either left to figure out technology alone or taken advantage of by providers who exploited their limited tech knowledge. We exist to close that gap.

Mission-Driven Team

Our team comes from enterprise software, Fortune 500 consulting, and global technology delivery. They chose this work because they wanted it to matter.

Built in the AI Era

Most technology firms serving nonprofits were founded when the biggest challenge was setting up a file server. We launched with AI as a core capability, not an afterthought.

Enterprise Thinking, Nonprofit Pricing

Being a young firm doesn’t mean being an inexperienced one. We bring enterprise rigor to organizations that have been told they don’t need it. When your technology partner is learning AI at the same pace you are, that’s not a partner. That’s a classmate.

Fractional CIO Leadership

Strategic IT leadership, technology roadmaps, vendor evaluation, and board-level reporting. The CIO you need at a fraction of the cost.

Managed IT Support

Day-to-day helpdesk, monitoring, infrastructure management. Fixed monthly pricing. No break-fix billing from 2005.

Cybersecurity

Compliance programs, security assessments, and incident response built for nonprofit budgets and the data you're responsible for protecting.

AI and Automation

Grant writing, donor communications, document processing, data analysis. AI that's running in production, not proof of concepts.

Efficient and Modernized

We help organizations stop patching outdated systems and start operating on infrastructure built for how they work today.
